27/05/2013 - 09/06/2013

These past few weeks, I feel like I have deepened my understanding on how to create active web pages on Photoshop and the use of multiple photoshop tools such as the Ruler, Slice and paint tool. I will further my understanding of the stylise feature and the different layer styles.

22/04/2013 - 12/05/2013

These past few weeks I feel that my understanding of Adobe Photoshop has improved slightly and my understanding of the key terminology such as the names of the different tools within the software and the tricks within manipulating some of these tools has improved greatly.

01/04/2013 - 21/4/2013

These past few weeks I have improved my understanding of Photoshop's website capabilities. I have learnt how to effectively use the ruler tool and the resizing tool to manipulate my images to fit my webpage's specifications. I still need to learn how to make buttons interactive and how to install slideshows on my webpage. I will look towards furthering my understanding of this in the future.

11/03/2013 - 31/03/2013

These past few weeks I feel like I have deepened my understanding of adobe flash player and its key terminology. I have improved the slideshows I have done and I feel like I have made significant improvements with the software. I have now made multiple slideshows for different aspects of the website.

18/02/2013 - 10/03/2013

These past few weeks I feel like my understanding of the terminology of both the operating system and the hardware has improved. I now feel confident in installing and discussing about an operating system whilst using the key terminology and I now feel confident in my ability to name all the different internal components of a computer, even if I cannot state what their purpose is. I will seek to further improve this outside of lessons.

28/01/2013 - 17/02/2013

In these past few weeks, I feel like my understanding of how operating systems function and what they do has improved. I have also learned roughly how to install an operating system for computers and I would be fairly confident with being able to install one myself. In the next few weeks, I aim to understand how to fully install and repair operating systems and learn the key terminology in installation and management of an operating system.

I also feel like I have learnt more about the internal components of a computer, yet I am not completely confident with being able to name and state the the purpose of all the components. I will further my understanding of this aspect outside of lesson time.

21/1/2013 - 27/1/2013

This week I feel like I have furthered my understanding of the internal components of a computer and how to install them. I have learnt this through the filming and the research of both the Sound Card and the Video Card for our assessment in this unit. I learnt that a video card isn't always a seperate card that you can install on a computer and that sometimes, a computer has an in-built video card but this isn't as strong or as efficient as a video card that you install manually in a seperate slot.

14/01/2013 - 20/01/2013

In this week's lessons, I learnt the names and functions of all major pieces of hardware inside a computer such as the sound card (used to convert code into sound that is to be distributed via speakers), video card/graphics card (The larger your graphics/video card is, the higher resolution images your computer can display), RAM/ROM/CACHE memory (Different memory types have different purposes such as RAM which is used to allocate data from the computer's current settings and ROM which is a storgae unit that cannot be accessed by users generally) and a hard drive (a section of memory on a computer that users can access, install upon and save data to. It goes up in Bytes to KB, GB, TB, etc). This is useful as in my PDP I state that I have limited knowledge of the interior systems of a computer and the different cards and chips that exist within it. After this week, I feel that I am now comfortable in naming and describing what the interior components of a computer do.
